We usually do this tour from May to end of October ! On this tour we visit some nomads in Zagros mountains and also a short trekking is possible. For a long trekking we neet at least 2 or 3 days. There are 2 different plans for this tour: on plan A, we do a good trekking and just a short visit of nomads but on plan B we go directly to the nomads and spend more time with nomads.
Plan A: Start from Shiraz in the morning at about 8:00am, Drive to the northwest (114 km /1 hr 48 min) to the high mountains close to Ardekan (Sepidan) town, Start trekking up to Barm-firuz mountains to visit Barm-firuz lake, Trek down to a nomads family to visit and have lunch with them , About 8 km/5 hr trekking in total. Get back to Shiraz around sunset. Plan B: Start from Shiraz in the morning, Drive to northwest about 100km to a nomads family close to Ardekan (Sepidan) town, Visit a nomads family and have lunch with them, Take a short walk and visit some families around, Get back to Shiraz around sunset. Tips: 1.Nomads live at an elevation from 2000 to 3000 and always the weather is ok and not too hot. Just in July, August and September its hot in midday about +35. 2. The lake is located at an elevation of 3300m and we start trekking at an elevation about 2500m. 3. Th e path is good and you can do it even with normal shoes.
we usually do this tour from November to May. On this tour we do a nice hiking to the famous Shapur cave on Chogan valley , nice caving and also visit some nomads families in the valley. If you want to spend more time with nomads, we can skip the trekking to the cave and go to to the nomads directly and take a short walk to visit different families.
Start from Shiraz in the morning; Drive to southwest of Shiraz 131 km / 2.5 hr ; Arrive to Ghogan valley befor noon; start hiking to Shapur cave for about 2.5km/ 2 hr ; caving for about 1 hr ; get back to the valley(2.5 km/1 hr) and have lunch ; Visit some nomads families in the afternoon ; get back to Shiraz around sunset. Tips: 1.The path to the cave is steep in some parts but very good. You can do it with any kind of shoes. 2. Its hot in November and also in April ( about +35 in midday). 3. The minimum altitude in the valley is about 800m from the sea level and max altitude is about 1200m. 4.the ancient city called Bishapur and also some ancient reliefs are located at the entrance of the valley that we can take a look at them if there is enough time.
We usually do this tour from May to November when our nomads are in summer place . On this trip we do a nice trekking in Ganbil valley and Barm-firuz mountain and lake in southern part of Zagros mountains ; visit some Qashqai nomads and spend a night with a nomad's family.
Tour plan: Day 1: Start from Shiraz in the morning ; Drive to northwest of the city for about 110km/2 hr; Arrive to Sheshpir region beside the town called Sepidan ( Ardekan); Visit a nomad's family and have lunch with them, Drive forward to Ganbil valley and start trekking for about 10km ; Arrive to a nomad's family around sunset ; Spend the night with the nomad's family ; Day 2: After breakfast start trekking up to Barm-firuz lake 3300m. ( about 3 km/3hr); Trek up to Barm-firuz summit 3720 m. ( about 2km/ 2hr); Have lunch on the lake, Trek down to ganbil valley in the afternoon, Drive back to Shiraz and finally get back to Shiraz around sunset. Tips: 1.Trekking from the lake to the summit is optional. 2.The starting point of trekking is about 2800m from the sea level ; 3.the path is a bit steep ; 4.In summer there are some prickly bushes and its better to wear good trekking shoes. 5.Be sure to take enough water. 6.Always you need some warm clothes for the night but its hot in midday ( about +35) especially in July, August and September.
This is the best tour in our summer place in high mountains from May to November. By taking this tour you can do a very nice trekking and visit a lot of nomads. on this trip we usually pass several nice mountains, valleys , a nice canyon(Ganbil canyon) and also climb up to a high summit! ( Barm-firuz summit 3720 m.) Its a professional treekking, so you should be physically ready and also you need good trekking shoes.
Tour plan: Day 1: Pick up from Shiraz and drive to North of the city for about 120km/ 2hr45min, Get to last paradise valley and start trekking up to Jiderzar village,(3km/ 1 hr 45 min trekking), Visit a family at the village and have lunch with them, Trekking in the afternoon to Kahkaran village ( 14km/5hr), Spend the night with a nomad's family close to the village, Day 2: Trekking through some mountains and Ganbil canyon, have lunch in Ganbil canyon and also swimming is possible in the canyon. Get to a nomad's family in the afternoon (about 15-18 km/5-7hr), Spend the night with a nomad's family. Day3: Trekking up to Barm-firuz lake and summit ( about 7km/5hr). Trek down to the other side of the mountain to the road ( about 6km/3hr)and drive back to Shiraz ( about 130km/2hr30min)in the afternoon. Get back to Shiraz around sunset. Tips: 1.Its a professional treekking, so you should be physically ready. 2.you need good trekking shoes. 3.we do our trekking in our nomads region, so whenever you want we can stop at nomads families and visit them. 4. The altitude of the starting point is about 1700m and the max altitude is 3700m. 5. Its hot in July, August and September, especially in midday about +35 and because of that we dont do trekking in midday in these monthes.
Here you can take the most nicest tour in our winter place. if you are interested in long professional trekkings and nomads its your choice from November to May. Its a professional treekking, so you should be physically ready and also good trekking shoes. Some parts are steep and difficult.
On this tour we go to our main winter place to visit more nomads and also do a long trekking. Tour plan : Day1: Start from Shiraz in the morning and drive to west ( 174 km/3hr 45 min) to get to Dara mountain close to Bosharjan village; Start trekking through Dara mountain to get to a nomad's family ; Visit the nomad's family and spend the night with them( 15 km/ 5hr trekking); Day 2: After breakfast strat trekking to the other side of Dara mountain ; get to a nomad's family in the afternoon and spend the night with them ; (14km/ 5hr trekking) Day 3: have breakfast and trek forward ( about 6km) to Safarbag nomadic village, Drive ( about 2hr) to Chogan valley Get to Chogan valley at about noon, Visit some ancient reliefs and have lunch in Kashkuli village. Drive back to Shiraz in the afternoon. Get back to Shiraz around sunset. Tips: 1. Its a professional treekking, so you should be physically ready. 2. The starting point for our trekking is about 1100m and max point is about 1600m on the second day. 3. Its hot about +35 in midday in November and also in April. 4. Its better to take some good trekking shoes but also its possible with normal shoes. 5. Take enough water 6. We do a bit long driving but we get to a very nice mountains and also a good chance to visit a lot of nomads. 7. On the second day we have a good chance to visit a nomads school in a tent but not always.
Dena mountain is the highest point in Zagros mountains range, beside a city called Yasuj that is located in north of Shiraz or south of Isfahan. If you love to get to the highest point in Zagros mountains its your choice. We organize this tour from May to November when its not too cold and also not too much snow at the top.
Tourplan : Day1: Start from Shiraz in the morning and drive to northwest of shiraz for about 200km/3hrs. Get to Sisakht town at the bottom of the Dena mountain at about noon, Start trekking up to the mountain for about 7km/5hrs, Get to a refuge close to the top, Spend the night at the refuge. Day2; Start trekking up to the top, ( about 2.5km/1.5hrs), Get to the summit (4200m) befor noon, Spend few minutes at the top, Start trekking down, Get to the starting point in the afternoon, Drive back to Shiraz, Get back to Shiraz around sunset. Some tips: Its a professional treekking and you should be physically ready, Its always cold at the top; you should bring some warm clothes. If you want to visit some nomads , we can stay more and spend a night with nomads around Dena mountain. At the end of our trip its possible to get to Isfahan as Dena mountain is between Shiraz and Isfahan.
